Rental Communities

The Housing Authority of Queen Anne's County is governed by a five-member board which is responsible for managing the County's low and moderate income housing developments.

Admission to the housing units is governed by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's regulations. Applicants who meet these criteria are housed on a first-come, first-served basis based on an applicant waiting list. Rent and income guidelines are subject to change without notice.

Emergency Maintenance Service: 1-800-568-8857

Emergency work items are those considered to pose a serious health or life-threatening situation to residents or housing authority staff and/or could cause serious property damage. Emergency maintenance includes, but is not limited to:

  • No heat (during winter months)
  • No air conditioning (during summer months)
  • No water or water leaks
  • Flooded dwelling unit
  • Electrical power failure and/or exposed electrical lines
  • Toilet backup or overflow
  • Inoperable smoke alarm
  • PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE EXTENSIVE WAITING LIST, THE HCV WAITING LIST IS CLOSED.
